What is the Selvan?

The Selvan is a fantasy world marked featuring various unique sophonts, regions, cultures, and spells. Borne from weakened gods, the intalli must grapple with a realm of magic, blood, and starlight. Each tale is unique and their characters grapple with issues such as culture, warfare, religion, and much more.

The Selvan was created in 2020 but only began serious development in 2022. There are no formal plans for a grander adaptation of its stories or its world. Everything that I have done for this world will be (eventually) added to the site.

The Selvan has been inspired by:

  • Runaway to the Stars

Content Warnings

The Selvan is intended for mature audiences. This site and the Selvan as a whole features depicts a number of sensitive topics. These include but are not limited to:

  • Racism & Ableism
  • Graphic Violence
  • Body Horror
  • War & Genocide
  • Abuse (Romantic, Parental, etc.)
  • Mental Illness & Suicide
  • Grooming
  • Sexual Harassment

Underlined topics will be explicitly warned for above relevant sections of the website. If you are sensitive to any of the other topics listed, please take caution when exploring the website or avoid it altogether.

Usage

The Selvan is licensed under the CC BY-NC-SA license, meaning that you are free to share and adapt material from the Selvan under the following terms:

  • You must credit the website or one of my social medias.
  • You may not use content from or made for the Selvan for commercial purposes.
  • Any content made or built from the Selvan must follow the same license.
  • You may not apply additional restrictions or legal measures to content derived from the Selvan

As for personal boundaries, I don't have many! Draw fanart, write fanfic, use the Selvan as inspiration, do whatever. OCs and fan stories are highly encouraged and I would love to see any content that people create. NSFW content of adult characters is fine, but please do not show it to me.

About Me

Hi, I'm Icy! (She/They) I'm a freelance illustrator, writer, and college student. I've been obsessed with ecology since I was young and I've been drawing for just as long. My interests include Pokemon, vocaloid, webcomics, shrimpkeeping, and all things related to animals. The Selvan is a passion project that I adore with all my heart, and I really hope you enjoy it.

Here's some fun facts about me!

  • I am asian American and only speak english.
  • My favorite animal is the snowberry clearwing moth.
  • I have never seen a snail or a mantis before. (Update: 10/14/25, nevermind!)
